Food Film Festival

IGCAT aims to raise awareness on food as cultural heritage and its vital role in encouraging and supporting local sustainable development in regions across the world.

The Food Film Festival project has been devised by IGCAT and the Regions of Gastronomy to acknowledge and revitalise the crucial role that food and gastronomic traditions play within and across local communities around the globe. By involving different actors and fostering dialogue among sectors, the initiative aims to stimulate future sustainable growth based on local food cultures and food diversity and their promotion on the international scene.

IGCAT promotes cross-sectoral and transnational cooperation with the objective to increase international visibility of regions and their gastronomic heritage.

The Food Film Festival project has been developed to: nurture young talents in the audio-visual sector; support local crafts SMEs; and engage diverse audiences in innovative and creative ways.
