ATHENS, Greece -The Greek economic crisis has hit this historic capital city hard. But if there is a bright spot, it is the grassroots social initiatives mushrooming all over the city. Designers, chefs, architects, writers, educators and other professionals — many of them unemployed — have channeled their energies into finding ways to feed, house, and maintain the dignity of the thousands of people suffering from deep cuts in social services.
