Orientalist, culinary culture scholar, head of Food Studies at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, author of the following books: “Culinary Traditions of Japan”, “Japanese Sweets”, “The Culinary Traditions of Korea”, “Polish Culinary Paths”, “The Culinary Traditions of Finland”,  “The Culinary Traditions of Sweden”, “The Culinary Traditions of Norway”, “The Polish Table”,The Culinary Traditions of Denmark”, “The Culinary Traditions of Poland” and Deserownik. Magdalena is the recipient of many Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, Prix de la Littérature Gastronomique, the Chinese Diamond Cuisine Award, and the Polish Magellan Award. She researches the history of food cultures, the anthropology of food, culinary diplomacy, and tourism. She is involved in consulting, conducting meetings, giving lectures and cooking classes, writing a blog, and hosting the Kuchniokracja podcast. Additionally, she has been actively promoting Polish food culture in Europe and Asia, and become an IGCAT Expert.
