Coimbra Region awarded Best Gastronomic Tourism Film

A stunning showcase of Coimbra Region’s territory and gastronomy, the promotional film Coimbra Region, European Gastronomy Region 2021 – A Million Food Stories received the Blue Danube award for Best Gastronomic Tourism Film at the Silver Lake Tourfilm Festival 2019 (SILAFEST), the International Festival of Tourist and Ecology Film held in Veliko Gradiste (Serbia), on 1-7 September 2019.

This international distinction contributed to enhance worldwide visibility of the European Region of Gastronomy programme, which is increasingly gaining recognition and support both within Coimbra Region and abroad.

Produced by the Intermunicipal Community of Coimbra region (CIM Região de COIMBRA), the film highlights the region’s gastronomic traditions, landscapes and contemporary food offer, inviting the audience to discover the countless stories related to the culinary and cultural heritage of Coimbra Region.
