The president of IGCAT, Greg Richards will participate at the “Tourism Research and Management in a Rapidly Changing World” international conference in Belgium this September

Greg Richards will be making a keynote presentation on “Trends in Creative Tourism” at the “Tourism Research and Management in a Rapidly Changing world” conference to be held at the University of Leuven, Belgium, on September 15th and 16th. Creative tourism is gradually emerging as a key area for innovation in tourism, one of the key themes of the conference. Greg Richards will be outlining the development of creative tourism over the past decade and charting trends for the future.

The conference will have “creative tourism” as the keynote and it will be developed around four distinct and challenging tracks:

  • Innovative policies and governance structures to guarantee the sustainability and the competitiveness of destinations;
  • New models of tourism consumption;
  • The use of new technologies in tourism;
  • The effectiveness of innovative management tools to enhance the profitability of tourism firms
