Following the success of last year’s Capitals of Culture meeting in Barcelona, IGCAT experts and authors of the fifth European Cultural Capitals report Robert Palmer, Greg Richards and Diane Dodd agreed upon a 2014 edition of the European Capitals of Culture Seminar.
The seminar, organized by IGCAT, will take place on the 12 December 2014 in Barcelona. Places are restricted to two representatives from each bidding city (and only one city per country) in the field to ensure a quality discussion with the experts.
Aside from tackling challenging issues for bidding cities with the IGCAT experts, the seminar provides for a conversation with other bidding cities (from other countries) creating links and providing project opportunities.
The conversation with the IGCAT experts is moderated by the interests of the participants but can include bidding, regional development, political involvement, citizen support, audience development, European dimension, visitors profile, evaluation, creative industries, innovation & social media, legacy, branding & image impacts, lessons from recent European Capitals of Culture, critical success factors and hosting the title.
IGCAT will work with only one city in every country and therefore this offer is exclusive. For more information or to subscribe please contact: info@igcat.org
