Dag Hartman is an IGCAT expert (International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism) since 2016. He is currently Senior Advisor and Regional Expert for International Projects for the Region of Jämtland Härjedalen, where he coordinates Östersund’s participation to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network as Creative City of Gastronomy, combining gastronomy, culture and tourism as a tool for regional development.

With a background in environmental sciences, in his current position he aims to establish a productive relationship of learning, sharing and exchange between regional and international organisations to foster cooperation for sustainable development, including the rural-urban connection.

For over 30 years, he has been CEO of Historisk Produktion i Sverige EF and worked as project manager in developing projects/exhibitions in the field of Prehistoric technology; developed modern systems for copying sensitive and valuable national artefacts and ancient archaeological finds; and managed Galleri Södergården art exhibitions.

In 2019-2021, he was International Coordinator of ICGEC – International Culture and Gastronomy Exchange Center, managed by Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Co., Ltd.

He is a Board member and secretary of Jämtlands läns konstförening, working with art projects and exhibitions in Jämtland County.
