Former political journalist, Ingrid Badurina Danielsson, switched to her new job in food and wine promotion in 2005. Winner of the Forbes 50 over 50 Award in 2024, she worked as a correspondent from Zagreb for the Italian daily paper La Stampa, covering the war in ex-Yugoslavia. Twenty years ago she started her company Laniva with a focus on promoting Croatian gastronomy, enology, and authentic top quality products, related to the culture of the table as part of the cultural heritage and contemporary lifestyle. Laniva has presented Croatia as a premium sustainable food&wine tourist destination by organising events in Paris, London, Stockholm, Rome, Milan, Brussels, Moscow, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Marseille, Torino, Treviso, Halkidiki.

Since 2017, Ingrid is the owner of the licence for Croatia and the Director of Gault&Millau Croatia, the influential international gastronomic guide. A special edition for Kvarner was published in conjunction with the title of the European region of gastronomy for 2026.

In 2013 she launched the Taste the Mediterranean Festival, the most prestigious Mediterranean festival in Croatia aiming to increase the importance of the Mediterranean Diet as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Humanity listed by UNESCO www.tastethemediterranean.eu

More than 120 top International and Croatian chefs have participated in the TTM festival that takes place annually and has been presented at the European Parliament in Brussels. Part of the Festival is the platform Med Women Chefs promoting women working in food.Graduated in Political Science in Milan, with a Master degree in Journalism and a French Baccalauréat, Ingrid is fluent in Croatian, French, Italian and English

Since 2026, she has been recognised as an Expert by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT).
