Dr. Smiljana Pivčević

Dr. Smiljana Pivčević is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism (FEBT), University of Split, Croatia, teaching tourism and hospitality courses. Her research focuses on sustainability and innovation in hospitality, sustainable tourism and the role of events in tourism. Dr. Pivčević has extensive experience in international research and development projects (Horizon 2020, Interreg, ERASMUS+, ESF) and numerous expert works in regional and local destination management and marketing projects and initiatives. Dr. Pivčević has held various management positions within FEBT and received numerous awards from the public entities, the University of Split and FEBT for her teaching, research and community work. Dr. Pivčević is a member of the Scientific Council of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the European Regional Scientists Association (ERSA), and an international external evaluator for quality in higher education.
