David Mora
Expert in Tourism and Gastronomy
David Mora has dedicated his entire professional career to the tourism industry. He holds a Diploma in Tourism from the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain), a bachelor’s degree in Tourism from Nebrija University (Madrid, Spain), and a Master’s in Tourism Management from Bournemouth University (UK).
After working at the front desk of a city hotel and completing a scholarship with Turespaña that took him to Germany and Poland, he began his journey as a tourism consultant in 1999. To this day, he has participated in dozens of tourism development and training projects in different countries. In 2005, he began to work on projects related to food and wine tourism, and is also an auditor for the Wine Routes of Spain network.
Since 2019, he has been a collaborator with the Basque Culinary Center, coordinating gastronomy tourism programs and, in this role he serves as an advisor to UN Tourism for the organization of the World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism. He is also a regular participant in culinary tourism events, such as the recent Gastroekonomi in Istanbul, and has co-written some papers and book chapters.
Since 2025, recognised as an Expert for IGCAT (International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism), David Mora holds the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and is an evaluator for the UN Tourism “Best Tourism Villages” network.
