Pelle Andersen

Managing Director of Food Organisation of Denmark (FOOD)

FOOD is a small public-private partnership started to nurture and feed the interest in Nordic and Danish gastronomy, nature, agriculture and culinary culture, that Pelle Andersen has managed since 2011. The organisation is supported by private companies in the food sector and public funds, and has offices in Copenhagen and Aarhus.

He is also a member of the board of Fonden Dansk Gastronomi (supporting young chefs etc.) and MAD Symposium, the annual event to promote a better and more sustainable food culture curated by René Redzepi.

Pelle has previously been responsible for national tourism policy and public diplomacy in the Ministry of Business and Economic Affairs, and held several other positions in related areas in public and private organisations. He is also the author of various cookbooks and publications on gastronomy in a broader sense.
