Jorge Cerveira Pinto is a leading expert in cultural policy, heritage management, and the creative industries, with over 20 years of international experience spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He has held senior leadership roles in public and cultural institutions including the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Al Ula Royal Commission, European Commission and Dubai Culture, where he has developed and managed large-scale strategies in culture, tourism, place making, and creative economy development.
He holds postgraduate degrees in European Heritage Law, Creative Cities Management, and Communication and Culture Technologies, and is formally trained in intangible cultural heritage, and museum policy and ethics, world heritage management plans and impact assessments. Jorge has advised global organizations such as UNESCO, UNWTO, and the European Commission, contributing to the advancement of integrated approaches to regional development through culture, creative industries (inc. gastronomy), tourism, and sustainability.
