Visits to wineries have increase 40% in six years

Newsletter EUHTStPol. Wine tourism has been recovering the usual rhythm since the economical crisis.  The number of visitor to wine cellars associated to the Wine Route in Spain has increased to 1.689.203 on 2013, this is 18.08% that the year before according to the sixth annual report of the Observatorio Turístico. The study stresses that ‘wine tourism has become an important complement to Spanish tourism’. Moreover, this model ‘represents an interesting alternative of travel in case the tourists want to reduce time and distance in their trips’.
