Mónica Pulido-Villamarín

International consultant in intangible cultural heritage

International consultant in living heritage with a focus on traditional food and culinary practices, with over 12 years of experience in the cultural sector where she has worked in the design and implementation of public policies and sociocultural projects. UNESCO consultant and holds a Master’s in Political Communication with an emphasis on public policies.

She coordinated the projects: Comunidad-es arte, biblioteca y cultura: escenarios para la paz and Expedición Sensorial Catatumbo, under Colombia’s Ministry of Culture, both focused on contributing to reconciliation and peace through the cultural practices of communities affected by conflict and natural emergencies. She has participated in social and community projects with the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN) and the Central University, among other entities.

She has served as an advisor to the Intangible Cultural Heritage group at Colombia’s Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge, specifically regarding the implementation of the Policy for the safeguarding, promotion, and awareness of traditional food and cuisine in Colombia, as well as leading the Cocinas para la paz program. She is currently the representative and leader of the Technical Secretariat of IberCocinas, a cooperation program of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB).

Since 2026, she has been recognised as an Expert by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT).
