Teodora Moraru is Vice President of the National Union of Romanian Employers – Southeast Region and co-initiator of Dobrogea’s candidacy for European Region of Gastronomy 2029. With a background in Computer Science Engineering and a PhD in Business Administration (Cybersecurity), she combines technical expertise with entrepreneurial experience in developing tech start-ups and sustainable business models.
Since 2005, Teodora Moraru has been recognised as an Expert for IGCAT (International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism). She brings extensive experience in team management, project coordination and community-based initiatives, with a focus on leadership, communication and the digital promotion of gastronomy. She advocates for accessible digital tools to strengthen the visibility of gastronomic heritage and support all actors involved, from producers to institutions.
Growing up around her family’s restaurant, she became involved in its digital transformation, exploring how tradition and gastronomy can benefit from innovation. Her work promotes gastronomy as a driver of cultural identity, social cohesion and sustainable development, fostering connections between tradition, innovation and communities.
