Alma Harašić Bremec is Head of the Culinary Academy of ŠKMER, one of the leading professional chefs’ associations in Southeast Europe, focused on culinary education, skills development, and international exchange. With over 25 years of experience in hospitality, gastronomy, and tourism, she has played a key role in advancing professional training, organising international culinary events, and promoting high-quality gastronomic standards in Croatia and beyond.

She began her career in hotel management while still completing her studies at the Faculty of Hotel Management in Opatija and later specialised in Total Quality Management in Hospitality. Throughout her career, she has managed hospitality establishments, led gourmet tourism initiatives, and developed tailored training programmes for hospitality professionals.

At ŠKMER, she has been instrumental in expanding the organisation’s educational platform and international presence, coordinating major events such as Biser Mora and other leading culinary competitions and conferences. Her work also includes educational programmes for young people and community-oriented initiatives promoting healthy and sustainable food practices.

Alongside her professional activities, she contributes as a lecturer and advocates for the advancement of women in the business and hospitality sectors.
