IGCAT’s International Food Film Menu 2025 has officially announced its films awarded in 14 categories, showcasing a mouth-watering journey across the culinary traditions, innovations, and talents of regions around the globe. The Category Awards Gala took place as part of the 1st World Gastronomy Summit in Barcelona, hosted by the Government of Catalonia, World Region of Gastronomy 2025.
After reviewing submissions from filmmakers worldwide, an international jury of experts in gastronomy, culture, and audiovisual storytelling selected 14 films awarded in category that will permanently form part of the Food Film Menu 2025, to be screened at international film festivals and cultural events in the coming year.
The jury of Food Film Menu 2025 consisted of Mai Damgaard, Founder and Director of FoodFilmFestival (Denmark); Robert Oliver, Executive Director and Founder of Pacific Island Food Revolution (New Zealand); Oscar Ekponimo, Founder and CEO of Chowberry (Nigeria); Sırma Güven, Founder of The Kitchen Project, (Turkey/Spain); Levan Kharatishvil, CEO and Founder of Creative Strategies Lab (Georgia); and Amira Al Lawati, Director General for Tourism Development at Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (Oman).
The following 14 films showcase the diversity, creativity, and cultural richness of regions around the world. From celebrating traditional food heritage to highlighting young culinary talents and innovative food practices, the Food Film Menu 2025 presents a truly global vision of gastronomy in all its forms. The films awarded in category represent the voices of local communities, chefs, and filmmakers committed to preserving and sharing their unique culinary stories.

The Food Film Menu 2025 category winners announcement concluded with an invitation to audiences worldwide to participate in the Public Voting for their favourite film. Robert Oliver and Dr. Samuel Azzopardi, President of Gozo, formally opened the vote, welcoming everyone to cast their choice via the form on the Food Film Menu website. The Public’s Favourite Film along with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, will be announced at the upcoming Award Ceremony on 27 October 2025, hosted by Gozo, European Region of Gastronomy 2026. The evening continued with a celebratory Dinner, marking the culmination of a truly global celebration of food stories and culinary creativity.
