As the founder of The Burgundy, a pioneering restaurant that blends innovative Pan-African food story telling with hands-on culinary education, Chef Adenike is reshaping the global narrative around African cuisine. Through her restaurant, she showcases indigenous ingredients, sustainable farm-to-table practices, and the rich diversity of African culinary traditions. A dedicated mentor and educator, Chef Adenike empowers marginalized communities, particularly women, through mentorship and skill-building initiatives in partnership with organizations like UNDP.

Her work extends to supporting local farmers and championing food sustainability through community-driven programs. In 2024, Chef Adenike was honoured as the UN Gastronomy Tourism Ambassador, a prestigious role highlighting her leadership in advancing African cuisine on the world stage. As an advocate for sustainable gastronomy and cultural exchange, she works tirelessly to elevate African culinary traditions and ensure their rightful place in global food culture. As an IGCAT Expert since 2025, she is currently pursuing advanced culinary education at the Basque Culinary Centre, Chef Adenike continues to refine her expertise. Her goal is to further amplify Africangastronomy’s presence in the global culinary landscape. Through her efforts, she bridges cultures and creates a legacy that honours traditional heritage and innovation.
