Culture and Food Events Management is the subject of a new module on the international degree course at the University Hotel-School of Hospitality and Tourism Managemen EUHT StPOL in Sant Pol de Mar. IGCAT has designed the new course as an introduction to young students in the complexities of events management and the importance of cultural and food diversity.
Dr. Diane Dodd, Executive Director of IGCAT noted that “hotel managers and restaurant owners are often important protagonists in the delivery of food and cultural events, from private occasions (such as weddings, graduations etc.) to public events (such as food festivals and cultural routes). Furthermore, where there is a convergence between hospitality, sustainable tourism and culture/arts, interesting opportunities are emerging for ambitious entrepreneurs.”
IGCAT is very pleased to be associated with the University Hotel-School of Hospitality and Tourism EUHT StPOL in Sant Pol de Mar which has an excellent reputation in the world of hospitality, with many leading chefs and hotel managers having passed through its doors during its 50 years of operations.
