Thailand aims at turning mass tourism spots which tend to be very cheap and more about quantity into quality spots for foreign tourists. The focus of promotion campaigns will no longer aim at reaching targets on the number of world foreigners to visit the country, but rather focus on the upgrading of Thailand as a quality destination. The Tourism Authority Thailand will be the main initiator of the new strategy.
