May Britt Hansen
Project Manager – Bocuse d’Or Europe, Trondheim 2024
Currently working as Project Manager of Bocuse d’Or Europe – Trondheim 2024, May Britt Hansen has been the coordinator of Trondheim-Trøndelag, European Region of Gastronomy awarded 2022, where she was responsible for the implementation and execution of several projects involving many partners and goals.
May Britt became an IGCAT Expert (International Institute of Gastronomy Culture, Arts and Tourism) in 2022 and has a strong professional background in the tourism sector, including management positions at different tourism organisations both at local and regional level, such as Visit Trondheim and Trøndelag Reiseliv; as well as several hotel management and sales positions, both at regional and national level, in the three largest hotel chains in Norway and Scandinavia. Previously, she also worked as a marketing and communication manager in the construction industry.
Goal-oriented, action-oriented and prepared in strategic thinking, May Britt has held roles of managerial responsibility and budget responsibility since 2000 and has an extensive experience in working together with different kinds of networks, boards and partners. She participated in restructuring processes and development work in various jobs, has strong skills in personnel management, relationship building, motivation, and a positive approach to various processes.
May Britt has a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management by Finnmark University College and did several courses in coaching, teamwork and strategy.
