National Pioneers Push For Plastic Roads, Agri Tourism

In India in the past decade, 218 farmers in 156 villages across Maharashtra have benefitted from agri tourism. « These villages have become cleaner, are conserving rural culture and have created employment opportunities for over 2,700 people. In 2014 alone, these farmers engaged 4.14 lakh tourists which generated a turnover of 14.4 crore. ». Now, to improve agritourism R. Vasudevan, a Madurai-based chemistry professor, invented a method in which plastic waste can be used to construct durable roads.
