Mariona Rodà

Catalonia, Spain

19 years old, Mariona Rodà is the young talent who represented Catalonia, European Region of Gastronomy awarded 2016 at the European Young Chef Award 2019.

Soon after finishing high school and inspired by her passion for bakery that started when she was a child, Mariona decided to study cooking at IES Bisbe Sevilla to learn everything possible about this profession. A sport and book lover, during her study years she has worked on a food truck and in an American bakery in Catalonia.

Winner of the Best Presentation prize at the 33rd Catalan Young Chef Award, Mariona loves to cook with her grandmother’s and family’s recipes that have been passed down through generations.
