Sa m\u00e8re \u00e9tait vendeuse dans un march\u00e9 humide o\u00f9 le chef Nak a appris \u00e0 choisir les meilleurs ingr\u00e9dients et \u00e0 cuisiner d\u00e8s son plus jeune \u00e2ge. Aujourd\u2019hui, le chef Nak est une c\u00e9l\u00e8bre chef cambodgienne de premier plan qui s\u2019est fait un nom pour elle-m\u00eame et la cuisine de son pays d\u2019origine, tant au niveau national qu\u2019international, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son travail de pr\u00e9servation, de d\u00e9veloppement et de promotion des arts culinaires cambodgiens. Ses activit\u00e9s comprennent l\u2019\u00e9criture et la publication de livres de cuisine cambodgienne, des cours de cuisine, des repas \u00e0 domicile, des s\u00e9jours chez l\u2019habitant, des consultations en restaurants, des visites d\u2019arts culinaires et la production de vid\u00e9os de cuisine cambodgienne pour les m\u00e9dias sociaux qui pr\u00e9sentent des histoires et des comp\u00e9tences de femmes \u00e2g\u00e9es de la zone rurale dont les voix sont rarement entendues. Ses plateformes se sont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9es \u00eatre une source pour les jeunes d\u2019en apprendre davantage sur leur histoire et leurs communaut\u00e9s \u00e0 travers la nourriture, et ont inspir\u00e9 les femmes \u00e0 \u00eatre fi\u00e8res et confiantes en elles-m\u00eames en croyant qu\u2019elles peuvent \u00eatre plus que de simples cuisini\u00e8res \u00e0 domicile. Cela montre \u00e9galement que la nourriture a un grand potentiel pour attirer le tourisme et contribuer au d\u00e9veloppement communautaire.   <\/p>\n<p>  Depuis 2024, elle apporte son expertise en tant qu\u2019experte IGCAT.<\/p>\n<p>En plus de travailler \u00e0 la promotion de la cuisine cambodgienne, elle travaille et est consultante pour de nombreux projets tels que l\u2019UNICEF, le PAM, la FAO, EpicArts, GIZ, iDE, Heinrich B\u00f6ll Stiftung, CLA, MOE, MOT, les ambassades et les entreprises pour promouvoir une cuisine saine et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire pour les enfants et les familles, l\u2019autonomisation des femmes et l\u2019inclusion des personnes handicap\u00e9es. Bien qu\u2019elle soit confront\u00e9e \u00e0 une p\u00e9riode difficile en raison de la pand\u00e9mie, la chef Nak continue d\u2019aller de l\u2019avant et, plus forte, elle continue de produire du contenu de m\u00e9dias sociaux suscitant l\u2019engagement pour promouvoir la cuisine cambodgienne, les femmes et les personnes handicap\u00e9es.
