{"id":2793,"date":"2012-10-16T18:02:11","date_gmt":"2012-10-16T18:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/art-idea.eu\/?p=68"},"modified":"2016-02-17T12:00:30","modified_gmt":"2016-02-17T12:00:30","slug":"european-capitals-of-culture-brussels-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/igcat.org\/fr\/european-capitals-of-culture-brussels-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"European Capitals of Culture, Brussels meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Diane Dodd attended on behalf of<strong> ART<\/strong><em><strong>idea<\/strong> <\/em>a meeting of the European Capitals of Culture stakeholders in Brussels, 15th October 2012.<\/span><br \/>\n<span> <\/span><br \/>\n<span>The meeting, organised by DG Education and Culture of the European Commission put forward the Commission&#8217;s proposal (adopted in July 2012) for the the future of the European Capitals of Culture from 2020 onwards, as the current scheme expires in 2019.<\/span><br \/>\n<span> <\/span><br \/>\n<span>The meeting brought together past, current and future ECOC representatives to explore the challenges and opportunities that being an ECOC can bring. Amongst the themes explored: citizens participations, the European dimension of the year, audience development, management models, budgets and lasting legacies.<\/span><br \/>\n<span> <\/span><br \/>\n<span>The Commission&#8217;s proposal for 2020 and beyond, as well as the above themes and many, many more are outlined in <strong>ART<\/strong><strong><em>idea&#8217;s<\/em><\/strong> much awaited fourth edition of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atlas-webshop.org\/epages\/61492534.sf\/en_GB\/?ObjectPath=\/Shops\/61492534\/Products\/ATL_00102\">European Capitals of Culture Report<\/a> (published by ATLAS).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Diane Dodd attended on behalf of ARTidea a meeting of the European Capitals of Culture stakeholders in Brussels, 15th October 2012.
