IGCAT<\/strong> is among the 94 organisations<\/strong> from across the cultural and creative sector<\/strong> that have signed a letter calling for strong and systemic support measures at EU and national level<\/strong> for the sector to recover from the crisis brought about by the Covid-19 outbreak.<\/p>\n

Addressed to EU Member States<\/strong> and the European Parliament<\/strong>, the letter explains how the recovery package<\/strong> announced by the European Commission<\/strong> seems to neglect the precariousness of the cultural and creative sector, despite it being one of the first and hardest hit by the crisis.<\/p>\n

By highlighting the lack of sector specific instruments for culture, alongside an alarming decrease in the Creative Europe budget, signatory organisations stress the need for a stronger support of the cultural and creative sector by the European Union and call for:<\/p>\n
