These reports were first commissioned and continue to be published and distributed by our partners ATLAS.

The Association for Tourism and Leisure Education (ATLAS) was established in 1991 to develop transnational educational initiatives in tourism and leisure. ATLAS currently has members in about 70 countries.

The fifth European Cultural Capital Report is an update on the growing ‘ECOC knowledge bank’ that began with an evaluation report produced for the European Commission (Palmer Report, 2004) and the subsequent European Cultural Capital Reports, Volumes II, III, IV and V.

IGCAT experts, Robert Palmer, Greg Richards and Diane Dodd compile the reports and also offer training on subjects identified within.
