Estudi\u00f3 comida y cultura alimentaria en la universidad de Nesna en Noruega, as\u00ed como gesti\u00f3n de proyectos en la Universidad Nord. En la actualidad, Per Theodor T\u00f8rrissen dirige el centro de competencia alimentaria del norte de Noruega. Un centro establecido por la municipalidad del condado de Nordland dedicado a mejorar el conocimiento y las habilidades relacionadas con la alimentaci\u00f3n en el norte de Noruega. Ubicado en Mosj\u00f8en y afiliado a la escuela secundaria superior de Mosj\u00f8en, el centro se centra en la promoci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de las tradiciones alimentarias y las materias primas \u00fanicas de la regi\u00f3n. El centro tambi\u00e9n tiene como objetivo fomentar la innovaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo dentro del sector alimentario, haciendo hincapi\u00e9 en el uso de ingredientes locales y pr\u00e1cticas sostenibles. Sirve como un centro para la educaci\u00f3n, la investigaci\u00f3n y la colaboraci\u00f3n entre chefs, productores de alimentos y otras partes interesadas en la industria alimentaria. Una de las iniciativas m\u00e1s importantes del centro es el concepto ArktiskMat. un simposio anual sobre alimentos celebrado en Mosj\u00f8en, Noruega. Sirve como lugar de encuentro para chefs j\u00f3venes y establecidos, as\u00ed como para otros entusiastas de la comida, que est\u00e1n interesados en las tradiciones culinarias y las innovaciones de la regi\u00f3n \u00e1rtica. El evento cuenta con charlas, talleres, demostraciones y comidas, todas centradas en el tema de la cocina \u00e1rtica sostenible. El simposio tambi\u00e9n incluye exposiciones itinerantes que viajan por Noruega, Europa y m\u00e1s all\u00e1. T\u00f8rrissen ha desempe\u00f1ado un papel fundamental en el lanzamiento del primer programa de formaci\u00f3n profesional del mundo dedicado a las experiencias alimentarias sostenibles en Nordland fagskole.
