project<\/a> aims to develop a guidance framework and practical tools to design and implement <strong>quality online tourism internships<\/strong> in higher education.\u00a0By actively engaging all actors involved in the internship experience, the ON-IT project focuses on equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to face the challenges of <strong>digital transformation<\/strong> in the labour market.<\/p>\n<p>In order to provide guidance for successful online work-based learning experiences, the ON-IT project will develop:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">A\u00a0<strong>mapping of existing practices<\/strong>\u00a0on how higher education institutions reacted to the need of implementing remote internship and traineeship provisions;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">A\u00a0<strong>guideline document<\/strong>, as a reference to organise online internships and traineeships effectively;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Actual <strong>internship case studies<\/strong> to test the guidelines and identify relevant learning needs;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Learning resources<\/strong>\u00a0and learning opportunities (webinars, short courses) for all target groups involved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ultimately, the ON-IT project will contribute to: improve the work-based learning offer of higher education institutions; equip higher education students with employability skills, particularly those related to remote working; increase integration between academic bodies and support services; enhance the capacity to embed the world of work into academic curricula; advance and harmonise European policies in higher education.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The ON-IT\u00a0project is co-funded by the\u00a0<strong>Erasmus+
