Student Internship Opportunities

IGCAT offers internship opportunities for periods of 6 – 12 months.


Location: province of Barcelona

Periods:
12 months
– September-July
6 months
– September-February
– February-July

Timetable: 5 days a week (Mon-Fri), full-time.

Work areas:
World/European Region of Gastronomy programme including website updates and meeting support.
European Young Chef award – support role.
World Food Gift Challenge – support role.
Top Websites for Foodie Travelers – support role.
Food Film Menu – support role.
IGCAT expert round table event – organisation and support.
IGCAT website news section on Sustainable Tourism, Local and Regional Culture and Gastronomy.
IGCAT newsletter and supervise mailing.
Marketing and communications (including mailing lists).
Fundraising (sponsorship package and European funding applications as required).
IGCAT social media strategy in Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn/Instagram.
Team meetings and brainstorming on IGCAT’s projects and future direction.
Support (as required) on publications and training courses.
Help organise international meetings as required (dates to be determined).
Other general office tasks as they arise.

Candidate:
The candidate should be an MA student in tourism, cultural management, agriculture, hospitality or other related subjects.
Knowledge and skills in communication, marketing and graphic design will be especially appreciated.
A GOOD LEVEL OF ENGLISH IS REQUIRED.
CATALAN and/or CASTELLANO (SPANISH) would be an advantage but not essential.

IGCAT will not provide any remuneration and trainees will need to cover their own expenses for accommodation and transportation during the internship period.
